Judith Shelley

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have been a member of the Australian-Indonesian community for 20 years including living as an artist in Ubud, Bali for 10 years. I have exhibited my work at major solo and group exhibitions in Bali, Bandung, Jakarta, Sydney, Brisbane and Byron Bay.

While living in Indonesia I was a founding member of Ikatan Seniwati di Bali. Since 1992 I have been living in Byron Bay in Northern NSW. I have been teaching Bahasa Indonesia and performing Indonesian music and dance at schools, festivals and music venues on the North Coast of NSW and presenting Suara Indonesia Radio Show. In 1998 I founded the Australia Indonesia Arts Alliance in order to promote Indonesian culture nationally and to create new opportunities for Indonesian aritsts to share their culture in Australia.
