Balinese Community of Queensland
The Balinese Community of Queensland Incorporated (BCQLD Inc) is a non-profit
multicultural community, which has been established in Queensland for
approximately 7 years.
Our objectives are to enhance and develop stronger interest in Balinese
and Indonesian arts and culture throughout South East Queensland. The
community’s primary focus of practicing and performing traditional Balinese
music and drama has lead to the formation of the only Balinese Gamelan
orchestra in Brisbane along with a variety of assorted traditional uniforms
and costumes. These instruments and attire provide a means for the community
and members to observe, perform and learn the unique and beautiful music
and drama from Bali.
