  • promoting Indonesian culture throughout Australia.
  • creating new pathways for Indonesian artists to share their culture in Australia.
  • creating an open forum for cross-fertilisation of ideas between people of all disciplines involved with Indonesian culture.

WISHING ALL AIAA MEMBERS AND FRIENDS A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR AND EVERY SUCCESS IN 2008 - the Year of the Rat!

Come and celebrate the New Year with us! AIAA is Looking forward to a great start to 2008 kicking off with Melbourne Indo Hip Hop artist ESSCAY performing at the Music by the Sea Festival, Sandgate Brisbane. Esscay will launch the Free Concert at 5pm on Friday 4 January 2008 at Shorncliffe Beach, Lower Moora Park, Shorncliffe, along with Wild Marmalade, Tjupurru and Santana Project www.musicbythesea.com.au/festival www.myspace.com/esscay

2007 ended with a bang with the final Indonesian Extravaganza Show for the year held at Mullumbimby High School on 22 November with 6 local schools enjoying Barong, Rangda, Gamelan, Legong, Martial Arts, Indonesian Fashion Show and more!

Many other exciting events have been happening with Dharma, Bunny and Fusion group Nakula performing at the North Byron Parklands, Rice Resturant and Beggars Banquet (coming up this Saturday 22 December @ Railway Park, Byron. Hamony Day meetings happening to plan the Harmony Festival for Byron Community Centre for Saturday 15 March 2008. Also don't miss Suara indonesia Radio Show on BayFM 99.9 every Wednesday 12-2pm.
