The Opening Ceremony was launched by Mr Greg Vickery Hon. Consul for
Qld on June 11 @ Byron Bay Community Theatre. The program included:

at Inspirasi Festival Finale Peace Pole Park on Sunday 17 July presented
by Dharma Bradridge.

Free Balinese Kecak Workshops for adults and children – Bpk Nyoman Suma and Ibu Sri from the Balinese Community Gold
Coast present a series of free workshops in Balinese Kecak Dance –
world famous Balinese Dance Extravaganza - in preparation for the first
ever performance of Kecak in Byron @Byron Arts Factory and Buddha Bar
on Saturday 16 July @ 8pm. All Welcome!

panel discussions, DVD presentations, seminars and workshops from leading
artists and professional members of the regional, national and international
visual arts community.

- Heri Dono - Indonesia’s foremost contemporary multimedia
artist from Jogjakarta.
- Agung Rai - Internationally renowned Director of Agung Rai Gallery
and ARMA Foundation, Ubud.
- Elizabeth Ann Macgregor, the director of the Museum of Contemporary
Art, Sydney.
- artist Zen Player, AIAA's cultural ambassador to Bali.

Inspirasi Festival Day
- The Indonesian Arts Camp and Gamelan Gathering - will celebrate Indonesian culture through workshops, performances,
music jamming and collaboration between local and visiting musicians,
dancers and artists, including peformance art/shadow puppet/multi-media
conducted by visiting, internationally acclaimed multi media artist
Heri Dono, gamelan music wokshops, mask making, visual arts collaboration,
installations etc, fire performance etc.
