Vol 4 - December 1999

During November Inspirasi received a letter from the National Library's electronic Unit in Canberra requesting permission to include the magazine in its archives. The National Library of Australia aims to build a comprehensive collection of Australian publications to ensure that Australians have access to their documentary heritage now and in the future. The Library has traditionally collected items in print, but it is also committed to preserving selected electronic publications of lasting cultural value for access by the Australian community now and in the future.

Since 1996, the Library has been assessing online publications and identifying those that are considered to have national significance. The Library has set up an electronic facility called the PANDORA (Preserving and Accessing Networked Documentary Resources of Australia) Archive which enables the archiving and provision of long term access to online Australian publications. Additional information about PANDORA can be found on the Library's server at: http://www.nla.gov.au/pandora/
